A New Obsession

My latest musical obsession is the relatively new artist, Gotye. You're probably like, who the freak is that?!?!. Well, you actually probably do know him. You know that song " Somebody That I Used To Know"? Well, that's his song. His songs are amazing, and all his music videos are extremely unique, some using an actual video of him singing, some with clay-mation affects, some even traditional animation, a technique rarely used, which I find impressive. Also, I'm on Wattpad! (and Facebook, Deviantart, Gaia, IMVU, and a whole bunch of other websites).

Starting Back Up?

I've been thinking about something. I don't know why I stopped updating you guys or anything like that, but I'm going to start it back up again, just out of boredom and such. So, I cannot promise anything, for school has kept me busy, but since this is my first post in who knows how long, I'll make it special and upload some of my recent art.

This was just a random, 30 minute doodle, so it's nothing special but I like it, so I'll share it with you guys.

So, sorry I haven't really posted much lately... kinda been working on a new blog type thingy and I've been busy with school projects because our science teacher is a turd and gives us way too much work. We only get like, 20,000 worksheets every time we go to her class. -_-'. But, yeah about the new blog. It's not really a blog, so much as a roleplaying thing me and my friend Jaycie are working on. SOTD: All About Us - Owl City

Sakura Trees

A little girl once lived a happy life.

 She was an only child, but was kind to all others.

  Then her dad got sick.

He lay in a hospital bed, talking to his daughter.

 "Here, take this, little one." he said, and handed her a cherry pit.

   "What will this do?" She asked, teary eyed.

      His heart rate was getting slower.

"It is to represent your dreams.

  Plant it and , if you take good care of it,

    It will one day grow to be a beautiful sakura tree."

With one last tear streaking his face, but with a smile.

  He silently slipped away.

A few weeks later, she planted the tree.
 "If this was your final wish,
   Then I will take care of it until I die."

6 years later,
  She went into her sophomore year of high school.
    She was very beautiful, and was invited to many parties.
      "I have plans already. Sorry."

Everyday she cared for her tree,
  Which now towered over her.
     But her dreams, they were still a small seed.

20 years later,
  She was happily married,
     And now had a daughter of her own.

But after all those years,
  She still cared for her precious tree

Watching her child grow made her realize,
  After all those years she finally had her dream.
      Who would eventually grow into a beautiful sakura tree.
   
     

Growing Up

I recently got a complaint from a family member of mine who thought that my views of previous occurrences were based off of lies, but who has yet to tell me why or how this could be true. They also thought that some of the songs I used for my SotD's were inappropriate for me to be listening to.

 

I may be young, but I have a right to speak my own opinion. That's why I thought this blog was a good idea. So that except to the people who know who I am, I can let out my thoughts anonymously. So that I can finally empty the large number of thoughts that race through my mind so I don't stay awake all night thinking about it. Simply, just to get things off my chest. I appreciate the views, but I never said you absolutely had to read my blog, so if you don't like what I have to say, then stop reading my blog!

I need a release. Everyone does. Music is my release, I'd be lost without it. Even if the music I listen to isn't exactly up to your standards, it is obviously up to mine. Weren't you the one who first taught me the phrase,

 " The ones who mind don't matter and the ones who matter don't mind."? Just ask yourself, do you want to matter to me? You don't have to. I mean, I love you, but if you can't accept who I am, I will, though reluctantly, leave you be. I don't want to keep you shut out over something so stupid, but I can't give up my music.

If my views from my parents divorce seem untrue to you, then feel free to explain why they aren't. If you aren't up for that because I'm too young to understand, then please don't say anything about it, because that just makes me think you are just trying to cover up your own lies. 

I'm growing up, and you have to understand that. You've had 2 children, so you should know how to cope with that already. You also told me that the only person in this world I can control is me. Doesn't the same go for you?

Today, exactly a year ago, I lost someone in my family. I never got to know her that well, mainly because she lived in Georgia. Even so, I cried just as much when my mom called me. My little sister and I were staying with my dad for spring break and she had gone into a hospice the day before. My mom, uncle and both of my grandparents were driving as fast as the law would allow up I-75. They had gotten a call that she had become unresponsive. Half way there, my mom got a call saying to pull over. She was gone. I may have never known her that well, but I do remember her. One spring break, we went to visit other family members in Georgia and we got to go into her apartment. We stayed for dinner and me and my sister helped make spaghetti. It was fun, and I remember looking at her little paper Dixie cups and saying, "Mommy! That's what Grandma's puppy is named!" She may be gone but she helped shape the person I am today. Literally. If it weren't for her, I wouldn't exist. Nor would my mom or grandma.
 R.I.P. My Great Grandmother, or as we called her, Granny Esther.

SotD: Hold On - Wilson Phillips

This was the song that was playing on the radio when my mom got the news. I thought it would be appropriate as the SotD for today's post.

Yo.

  So, I stayed up a little late last night (3 am) and had to wake up at 9 to go visit some of my mom's friends and their cute little baby person. (I mentioned them about... 12 posts ago.) I din't have to wake up, but my sister was like, " You have two choices: get up and get dressed so we can go see squishy, or go back to sleep." I was pretty tired, so I rolled and went back to sleep. 5 minutes later, "Steph, I don't think you heard me. Get up and get dressed or go to sleep." 5 minutes later, " GET UP! WE"RE GOING TO SEE SQUISHY!!!" So, I was unable to sleep through the day, (Sad, I know) but I got to feed a baby and go eat lunch at Chik-fil-a, and considering the fact that where I live and because the closest one is about 30 minutes away, I'd call that a bonus.

  So, I kinda slacked off yesterday on my funny picture thing. So to make up for that I have this.

And for Tuesday, I have a random Japanese word with it's meaning for you.

Making Some Changes (Permanent? IDK...)

Today, at least from what I can see from my bedroom window, has been pretty gloomy. But I like days like this. I mean, I know this may be weird to most of you, but if I were to ever find out I have some terminal disease, I want to find out on a day like this. The showering rain brings me a sense of peace I don't get very often.

Like I decided to try out the SotD thing, I'm going to try out some new stuff.

Pain

I hate it when people complain that they have broken hearts after they've been rejected by some boy at school, when there are people like me who are truly suffering through hard times. I don't mean stuff like I can't find any of my cute earrings or I ran out of my favorite eye-shadow. No, I mean real pain. Like still dealing with my parents divorce just to find out my dad and step-mom are getting divorced. They are trying to work it out, but they say they're just going to press the reset button on the whole relationship. If it didn't work out the first time, how will it work out this time? People don't change. They may be able to change how they are but you can never change who you are. What ever caused the problems between you now will always be there, even if you lock it up in the darkest corner of your heart you can find. If people could really change as a whole, the first divorce wouldn't have happened, right?

I know I write about subjects that may not interest the people with parents who are still together. But I'm trying to help those who have gone through similar situations, more so to help children perservere through a divorce that may be in progress. But, for those of you who are lucky enough that they can't even imagine their parents splitting up, I will focus on things you would be interested to as well.

Hope, Tears, Pain, Memories

A small girl sits with her arm around her little sister who is only about 6 months old. The older sister, who is only 4 years old never could have prepared herself for the long road ahead. It was obvious after her parents had their first fight , which was before her little sister was even though of, and when her Daddy tried to leave , she grabbed her bag of blocks and packed it with toys and said, " If he leaves, I'm going with him." Though he stayed, the fights got worse. The girl who was only 2 when she had to live with Grandma and Grandpa, not only because of their constant battles, but they had to move in with a friend where the only place they could sleep was the living room floor. Though they tried to repair the relationship after their second daughter was born, when the picture was taken, they separated. The mother went to Canada to stay with an online friend, and the father met someone in Gainesville. He moved in with his daughters into her home where her mother, sister and brother, and her step-dad lived. Even though they separated, things only got more complicated from there. They eventually divorced and they were both soon re-married. 6 years later, the older sister is still hurt by what happened before, but has learned how to move on and to let her friends be there for her. The older sisters name, I can't say for privacy reasons. But you know her name perfectly well if you know mine.

My pie hole hurts....

So, you know how in front of your front teeth you have that little flap of skin? Well, mine was kinda cut out of my pie hole today, but for a valid reason. Mine went down to directly in front of my teeth and with that there,  it would pretty much make in pointless to get the magical (note the sarcasm), and painful from what I've heard, braces. For the lack of anything else to put in this post, I'll just go on to the SotD.

Lindsey Stirling (and other random stuff ;3)

So I have found an amazing artist on none other than Youtube, and I wanted to he random stuff ;3lp spread the word about her. She not only has amazing talent, you can tell in her videos how much she really enjoys what she does. She does covers of popular songs, but she mostly composes her own music. I can talk all day, or you could just watch an awesome video.

Anyone else going to see The Lorax? Me and my friend are going to go to the mall, catch the movie, and then I'm just going to spend the night at her house. That is, if my mom answers me sometime today. I'm just going to go pester my mom until she answers now!

The Hunger Games

So, for those of you who have read "The Hunger Games" trilogy, then just go ahead to the next paragraph. Otherwise, let me explain what I'm about to talk about. The Hunger Games is a book series about post-apocalyptic North America. A new nation has been formed, Panem. As punishment for a rebellion within the 13 districts, in which district 13 was destroyed, one girl and boy from each district, aged 12 to 18 must compete in a fight to the death match in an arena. To get it completely, READ THE BOOKS!

Okay, so, who else is waiting for the movie on March 23rd? I can't wait! I might die of anticipation before I even see it though...... with some of my birthday money (5 dollars left now...) I even bought the illustrated movie guide thing from Wal-mart. It's very interesting I would recommend you buy it or borrow it from a friend or find some way to read it. It has multiple pictures with all 12 tributes and the girl they casted for Fox-face fits her almost perfectly. I just hope they don't ruin the series with this movie....

Leap Day...

So, today, Febuary 29th, is a somewhat special day. Leap day, an extra day to make up for the extra 6 hours every 365 days, has started off kinda lamely. nothing excited has happened, but I can't help but feel that something will. Maybe my grandma's dogs will finally have her puppies (They're Chinese Crested's). Who knows, maybe I'll finally get that call from America's Got Talent. I doubt it though... during the first audition, the one you do before you go to the celebrity judges, I choked up and it took me what seemed like hours to get started on my song. My mom also said it didn't have any "Whoa she's flippin' fanstastic" moments in my song. Who cares? I sang that because I auditioned a month after the 10th anniversary of 9/11 and the song was dedicated to that day. Which brings us to the Song of the Day.

Regret

Never in my life would I ever have thought I would regret standing up for my little sister. But my reasons are increasing by the minute.

1. She is completely disrespectful to everyone, younger or older. She continuously calls my little brother retarded, me ugly and fat, (true, but still hurtful), ect.

2. She does a lot of things just to annoy me, which I suppose is normal for a little sister, but she pesters me to the point that I cry because that's what I do instead of scream at her.

3. She will sit on me, fart, and just walk away. Gross.

4. She loves to take minor quirks in people that they normally wouldn't notice or care about, but she finds them and uses them as a knife that she will stab at any time, whether you've ticked her off, or just because she's bored.

5. Need I say more?

Testing...no, literally, testing.

In the school computer lab waiting for lunch time. Had to take a "Life Science" test and so now I am working on a small packet with only 45 questions to work on. Considering we had a packet with 7 pages last week, this isn't all that bad! Ms. D, I love ya, but cut off on the worksheets, please! Still have about another 30 minutes 'til lunch *stomach grumble* but I got a bag of chips ( They were actually pretzels but whatever) from Ms. R for all 95 veiws on here! Thanks guys for not letting me starve to death before 12:55 today!!! Not to mention, 3 days until I am officially a teenager! Can't wait! Having a party with about 10 - 15 of my favorite people, including my sibilings... because I totally love them and all *cough* not *cough*. And now for my whole song of the day thing. Don't Step-on-me! AKA Squishy is Squishy

So one of my mom's best friends since her sophomore year has a 3 month old cute little baby named Cassidy, but we call her squishy. She is just the cutest, little squishable baby ever and we are visiting her, or what we call, squishing her. I have her friend playing "Pocket Frogs" and he is breeding every frog he can find in the pond... he's kinda being creepy about it.... not much else!

Jar of Hearts

So, been practicing my computer editing skills and got a really good picture, actually. Do I really need to explain it? Christina Perri, you rock! Anyway, not able to use my primary art computer, (dinosaur monitor died ;P), I might not be uploading much more than older art or fails from this computer. My friend (You know who you are ;3) got 50 page views already after, like, what, a week? Give or take, but she said she did it by making a few posts a day. Maybe I'll try that. More trying new stuff! By the way, anyone know of some good blogger template sites? Comment below if ya do!

More Boring

Been busy all weekend, having yesterday off, and all. Also, for those of you on there, I have a Gaia account now! "Feralfeatherforevr" is my user name if you want to friend me, give me some cool clothes for my avatar, stuff like that. So far this post is the only one that fits with the blogs title... Oh! As far as the last post goes, so far so good on my part. The other girl got two bus referals and who knows what else. I may have lost the fight but I'm winning the battle! As of....hmmm...now, I guess, I'm going to put my own song of the day on here, mostly just the title of it but sometimes I'll post a link to the video. I'll see how this goes for about the next week, if it increases views, I'll continue to do this. If not, well, I might still do it anyway. Here's song number 1!

For the big bro's/sis's

So, if you have a younger sibling, you know the feeling of pretty much hating their guts but you know you would stand up for them no matter what? Well, that feeling got put to the test today. On my bus, there's a girl named Jade from JAM. She's not the nicest person, so I never thought I'd ever want to talk to her, let alone scream at her. Mainly because of profanity, I can't tell the whole, word for word story. But here's the part I can tell. My little sister, with her stubborn self wouldn't scoot over on her seat so this Jade chick could sit down. Next thing I know she's cussing out my little sis and being a bit over-protective, I stepped in and was like, "Hey, stop yelling at her." And of course she's all like,"Yeah? What are you gonna do about it?!" She raised her fist at me and, out of instinct , I shoved her. She then jumped on top of me and just started pulling fist fulls of my hair and punching me in the back of the head. I've never been so scared in my life. She was hitting harder each time, and with the rest of the bus cheering her on, I thought she was going to knock me unconscious. No one stood up for me, everyone was cheering like they were at a concert by their favorite artist. She did stop a few minutes later, only to say to my sister,"I wasn't going to sit with you anyway." Really?! You did all that just to move to a different seat?! Now, Jade, if you're reading this, I congratulate you. You may have set a new record for how much bad karma  is coming your way. I did nothing wrong, not just according to me, but to the police department. It was self defense and it began by me defending my little sister from your "rainbow" of words. To anyone else reading this that knows me personally, when you hear about this via Facebook, Twitter, text, whatever, just know that this is the truth.

In ten days, I turn thirteen. It's hard to believe I've made it as far as I have, considering a back-story only some of my friends know. To keep it short and simple, it was a very over-dramatic divorce between my parents. Some of the events that occurred almost lead me to... do things that can't be taken back. I was in so much pain and agony that , if it weren't for some of my best friends, I wouldn't even be alive to accomplish large goals like in fourth grade, when someone bought my art-piece at an art show for $25, or when I got a two year scholarship to our local community college on our fifth grade graduation. Or what will be my latest accomplishment, turning 13. As far as religion goes, I am an atheist. But I do believe that you shouldn't, no, can't ever give up on family, friends and most of all, life. Because I didn't give up, I have made some amazing friends and I have also been able to create happiness, even if just a little, in a lot of people, even if it was just because I made a joke that put a smile on their face. Sure, I'm not the prettiest girl in our school, or even the one with the best grades, but life is too short to focus on the details. Just focus on the story as a whole.

The Start of the Boredom

I guess you could call this my first , actual day-to-day blog. There isn't much to say about me besides the fact that I am a young (None ya' beeswax how young) singer,writer and artist.I plan on posting some of my stories, song-covers and any good pictures I draw.
